Built in 1833 as the home of Edward and Caroline Bailey, Bailey House is now a museum showcasing Hawaiian culture, artifacts, paintings and furnishings from nineteenth-century Maui.


 
  Collections: mission home (1833) built on the site of the Royal compound of Kahekili, last ruling chief of Maui, served as the Mission station for the Wailuku Female Seminary for Girls until 1847s then occupied by Edward Bailey and his family until 1888; gardens with native Hawaiian and missionary-era plants; Hawaiian artifacts, missionary furnishings, paintings by Edward Bailey

Programs and tours: guided and school tours; inter-museum loan program; permanent, temporary and traveling exhibitions; school, outreach, teacher training and travel programs; classes, lectures and live performances
